Cleaned, cracked barley (jo ka dalia). Barley porridge has a mild nutty taste and a pleasant chewy texture. Cook it like wheat dalia, sweet or savoury.

How to use it

• Jo ka dalia cooked in milk for breakfast.

• Barley soup with chicken or mutton stock.
